New Site - Everquest Guide
Welcome to Everquest Guide. I’ve been running the Newbie Zone FAQ site for a couple of years, which concentrates strictly on frequently asked questions from The Newbie Zone forum section on the official SOE Everquest forums.
Now that SOE has launched the Free to Play option for Everquest, it is time for a new series of articles for new and returning players. Some of the content will be borrowed from the FAQ, some from my other Everquest blog, but most will be original articles written for here.
My main interest will be guides for new players; I have no intention of replacing content from sites like Allakhazam or Raspers. The first guide will be one for the Mines of Gloomingdeep, rewritten specifically for the latest iteration of this zone.
I am experimenting with a new way of creating the site; previous blogs have used WordPress, this will be using Jekyll - which should offer better performance and greater reliability (for me). While I am getting this running, there will be some changes to the layout and styling.
