James Laver writes to point out that the Motorola L7089 doesn't have Windows NT support, even though Orange's main pages for phone specifications, http://www.uk.orange.net/kit/, make no mention of OS support at all. The Ericsson SH888 works with NT, provided you use suitable drivers like the Quickbeam drivers from Extended Systems. I think it is fair to say that support for infra-red on NT is very patchy, although it can be made to work on NT 4.0 with some effort; Windows 2000 has much better infra-red support.
