These quests give 25 faction points, and you may also gain points from killing in the combat quests. Each faction has an errand, and a combat quest – only the combat quests for LoL and RB are relatively easy; some classes may be able to solo others (like CoV), and some may require groups. The ‘acts’ from Fenden are only to gain currency to buy the items he sells, so if you just want faction, it’s errands, plus combat if you can manage them.

A set of 5 Fenden tasks, with no AA bonus, gives me: 1.37 AA (incidentally, lesson doesn’t work on quest exp).

First of all, the factions and prime vendors:

Rebel Brownies: Karri, The Steam Factory
Ladies of Light: Seridyn, Dragonscale Hills
Crusaders of Veeshan: Vesiss/Tonas/etc, Dragonscale Hils
Ak’anon Strike Force V: Automated Vending Unit II, Dragonscale Hills
Bertoxxulous’ Chosen: Lanika Shadestepper, Hills of Shade
Camp Valor: Hardrin, Hills of Shade
Fang Breakers: Derak Fangbreaker, Loping Plains

All classes will need ASF faction at least to indifferent for steam core converters – luckily, this is one of the easiest to raise up. Type 3 augs are summarised here: http://home.comcast.net/~mathadon/Guides/SoF/FocusAugs.html

Looking at the available mage spells:

Rebel Brownies: Shock of Many II, Rancorous Servant II
Ladies of Light: Monster Summoning VI, Cauldron of Many Things
Crusaders of Veeshan (Tonas): Mass Prime Transvergence II, Burning Brimbody II
Ak’anon Strike Force V: Fickle Pyroclasm II

The first named is available for purchase at Kindly, the second at Ally. Some factions also have type 3 augments, all at Ally:

Bertoxxulous’ Chosen: Bolt of Molten Dross
Rebel Brownies: Shock of Many
Crusaders of Veeshan: Revival of Aenro
Ak’anon Strike Force V: Shock of Cineral Steel
Valor: Annihilate the Aberrant
Fangbreaker: Scorching Sands, Fickle Pyroclasm

I have ranked all the above roughly in my preferred priority order. ASF is also useful for the core converters at indifferent, which are essential for tier 2 armor upgrades.

For clerics (no particular order):

Ak’anon Strike Force V: shard: Chromassault, Sermon of Admonition; spells: Blood of the Devoted II, Vow of Victory II
Camp Valor: spells: Circle of Divinity II, Hallowed Ground II
Ladies of Light: shards: Eleventh Hour, Frantic Renewal; spells: Chromassault II
Fang Breakers: shard: Solemn Elixir; Spell: Eleventh Hour II
Rebel Brownies: shards: Solemn Light
Crusaders of Veeshan: shard: Divine Censure
Bertoxxulous’ Chosen: shard: Solemn Remedy

Brownie Rebels

Kill 1,100 minotaurs in Dragonscale Hills. Really. There are quests and kills in the Steam Factory for this faction as well. The Fenden combat quest also involves killing minotaurs, and the errand has you run into the mino fort in DSH.

Ladies of the Light

Kill brownies in Dragonscale Hills, also wind nymphs around the zone in tower (and some clockworks, but they are harder). Do Mash Brownies (Erradien, “grateful”), and The Moonfires’ Burning Desires (Qandieal, “issues”). The Loping Plains task “The Festival of Nightmares” may also be viable. The Fenden combat quest is to kill wind nymphs, which works nicely with collecting the necklace for Qandieal.

Crusaders of Veeshan

Kill for Crystallos key quest, or kill in Crystallos. Also the tasks given by Dwindlix next to the FM catapult in Dragonscale Hills; items for these quests drop in Crystallos (essences), and can be pre-looted.

Errand involves a run to Skyshrine, so I guess CoV faction (the other CoV) would be handy. Combat quest is to kill Earthen Protectors outside Crystallos.

Ak’anon Strike Force V

No mobs to kill. Farm quests raise faction: Sigglik, west of Steamfont zone line, “willing”. Several other tasks as well, probably all of the Model XLII Spatial Temporal Oculus series. The errand is to collect spy reports in Fortress Mechanotus.

Combat quest involves killing in the Mechamatic Guardian (therefore requires a group to enter).

Camp Valor

Kill undead in Hills of Shade. The errand involves going to Felwithe, outside toGFay, back to Felwithe, then deliver a package to Hardrin in HoS.

Fang Breakers

No kills to raise this one. Errand is a run to North Karana. If you want Fangbreakers faction, then while doing the Fenden Special Delivery quest, you should also do the killing worgs task from Tyrinam (near docks in Loping Plains, SW of Bloodmoon Keep), as the tiny worgs count for this quest (Note: not any more, this was nerfed). Most of the quests involve the goblins north of the Fang Breakers camp, and you should be able to stack five quests at a time (Creepfeet Thievery, Fight or Flight, The Enemy of my Enemy is my Friend, Gathering from the Goblins, Reducing the Threat – Goblins).

Bertoxxulous’ Chosen

Kill different undead in Hills of Shade.
