HPC Explorer 1.1

Microsoft have released the eagerly anticipated upgrade to HPC Explorer to support Windows NT 4.0 systems and synchronisation with Outlook and Office 97. This replaces the PC components of HPC Explorer, now called HPC Explorer 1.1, but makes no changes to the PDA side components. This raises compatability levels for Windows CE devices to compare with existing synchronisation products for Newton and PalmPilot. Rather annoyingly, it creates a different program group name from that installed by the old version.

Palm Pre-Release 2.0.1 OS Update

USR have made available on their web site a prerelease update for PalmPilot models to improve digitizer resolution glitches; they say that this should only be installed by users who experience this problem already. The problem will reveal itself as incorrect tap resonspes at the lower left hand edge of the screen. This update does not apply to the Pilot 1000 and 5000 models.
