I stayed mostly in the Plane of Justice Death Row for 63/64/65. 18% per lesson in 63, 15% in 64, and 12% in 65. In 65 mobs were 50% green, but prisoners were light blue; in 66, most row mobs (60%?) were green, prisoners still light blue. It gives around 0.8-1.0 AA/lesson in 66. Death Row is holding good at 1.0 AA/lesson, and only drops to about 0.9 duo with a 62 druid with a dire charmed pestilent rat; the druid gets 1.2 AAs/lesson in this pair.
I also tried the tunnels in PoJ, which was a success; all light blue to 65, some over 55 from the corpse timers. Most pulls were single, but a couple of nasty spots with gralloks that come in multiples and run like the blazes when low. I didn’t measure exp here, but it seemed to be about the same as death row, probably due to the time required between pulls.
The first two rooms in the Bloodfields (entering from Dranik’s Scar) have approx 12 dragorns, most of which were single pulls, although they are runners. If you split by zoning for the first round, respawn is 21/22 minutes, and can kill all in under 20 minutes, giving 4% level exp at 65. At 66, Bloodfields zone in has dropped to 0.25 AA/round, which is roughly 0.7 AA/lesson.
I was missing for a large chunk of 66: from 62, Burning Sand (I researched this myself later); 63, Blade of the Kedge; 64, Girdle of Magi’kot (also researched myself), Maelstrom of Thunder (found this one in Bazaar); 65, Elemental Siphon (bought from a researcher for 5k) – plus the various imbues. I have all 66 spells, and will have all 67 when I choose to level.
Exp spots for 66, from the forums: PoV, PoN, bottom of the Hole, WoS south side, Steppes zone in, Plane of Fire C1/C2, Hate tier 4, BoT giants/HoH basements, Noble’s Causeway (Ukun Packmaster and Ridgerunner Drunt for runes).
I need to look at flagging for Fire and Sol Ro. Sol Ro requires one drop, killing the level 65 Banished Efriti in Western Wastes. Fire flag requires several drops, most in the Factory area of Innovation, some in Tactics. Tactics flag (kill ogres in Storms, flags a group) is probably also worth looking into; this apparently needs Askr faction (kill Storms giants, or BoT giants) for the hand in. There are public PoP flagging raids going on right now on Antonius Bayle; so far they have given me the Tactics flag; although it is very likely that I will miss the Rallos Zek kill required for Sol Ro/Fire.
Solo in Kael arena for CoV faction would assist on the WW Sol Ro flag; Pirate faction in TBS for armor purchase, although at current Bazaar prices, even the lowest set would cost easily 300k pp for the doubloons. I don’t see much point in DoN faction at the moment; crystals are currently 40-50pp each in the Bazaar, and the focus augs that would be useful (level V) are required level 70.
At 66, the bottom of the Hole is very doable; I even managed to survive an accidental 4 pull, although 2 at a time is tough (and by tough I mean that I needed to heal as well as do damage). 8% level exp per lesson, or 1.0 AA/lesson (just over). I cleared the entire tier 4 area (broken constructs/gargoyles), excluding the temple area; not sure about respawns, but probably could survive on half the tier. However, just one extra player coming through the area spoils it. I got to the Guardian of the Seal by invis then fighting in, and dropping down from the pool past the first set of constructs.
Running the circuit in Innovation gave me approximately 1 AA/lesson, which is a big improvement over the last time I was here; only about 30% are green at 66. There’s some variance on that estimate, as I was following a group around, and was killing faster than they were, so I was often waiting for respawn. I’d put it as 0.9 – 1.2 AA/lesson in all likelihood – later tests put it at 0.9 AA/lesson, but I’m still not convinced; it just seems like it should be better.
I have worked through the remaining PoP AAs, and have in addition bought Pet Affinity, after some debate with myself, Gift of Mana 1, the GoD Fury of Magic Mastery, and am making a start on the 100+ AAs required for the GoD pet AAs with Shared Health 1. I will probably get most of the Omens/DoD level 66 AAs before completing these.
Turkeybees (BoT courtyard; aka Stormriders) are all dark blue to 66 (I think they are 61/62), drop various Storm Rider tradeskill items and mephit vendor junk; and allegedly drop parchments, at the rate of about on every two hour long sessions; these include (very rarely) spectral parchments. Respawn time is roughly 25-30 minutes (perhaps 28 mins?); in lesson each kill gives 10% AA, for a total of 1.4 – 1.5 AA/lesson. They also hit for around 650, so try to avoid that, and double pulls aren’t the best idea. This is the best exp rate so far (still to look at Hate). Don’t pull near to the gargoyles (Storm Watchers), as they will add. Each of the courtyards apart from the one with a bee in a tree (NE, I think) is all single pulls; you should be able to fight them all at spawn, although a few are close to the gargs. Nothing runs. A high proportion of them are casters, with complete heal. Pet stuns should make them easy meat, but bad luck can run you out of mana. I am killing with less than 40% mana consumed, on average. I cast Maelstrom of Thunder, wait for all waves to land, then Bolt of Jerikor; repeat until dead, which is usually about 4/5 cycles. Militis giants from earth are also killable; I haven’t tried any of the others; they give approximately 12% AA.
I have almost hit 90% into level 66 from raids and a couple of groups with much higher level guild mates.
